Asparagus is obligatory on the spring table. They can be used to prepare grated, soup-creams, casseroles or served with egg or breadcrumbs. A light version of white asparagus in French pastry with Black Forest ham will also be perfect.
Asparagus is a source of vitamins and minerals. They prevent the formation of cancer, are responsible for the proper development of the fetus, support breastfeeding women and lose weight.
Ingredients:
- white or green asparagus
- puff pastry (can be ready)
- Black Forest (or Parma) ham
- 1 egg to spread the dough
Preparation:
White asparagus, unlike green asparagus, must first be peeled from the skin with a sharp knife or vegetable peeler (you can also buy a special asparagus peeler). Then cut off the hard tips about 3 centimetres from the end of the stem.
Put the asparagus preparation into a high pot and cook in an upright position for about 5 minutes (with the flower upside down with the heads above the water surface). You can also add a little sugar to the water. After this time, drain them on a colander and let them cool down with cold water. Then dry the asparagus and wrap two pieces each in a slice of Black Forest ham.
Surround each portion with a stripe of puff pastry. Grease the top of the dough with egg and bake in the oven in 180 degrees for 10 minutes.
