Ideal combination of flavours of lentils, beetroot, pork and sweet carrot. It is also a quick recipe for a tasty soup.
Beetroot is a wonderful blood-forming agent, long recognised by natural medicine. It prevents anaemia and, according to research, supports the treatment of leukemia. Dyestuffs contained in beet are very strong antioxidants and increase the absorption of oxygen by cells.
- 1 glass of green lentils
- cut of pork
- 3 beets
- 2 carrots
- 1 parsley
- 1 onion
- salt, pepper to taste
Cut the pork into small pieces and put into a pot with a small amount of frying oil, stirring so that it does not burn. After 3-4 minutes add chopped onion and fry until golden brown, then pour water over everything. When it starts to cook add chopped into cubes, carrots and parsley as well as beets. It is worth to cook lentils earlier, but if we don’t have one, it’s a good time to add it to the pot.
Leave the soup on low heat for about 15 minutes until all the ingredients have boiled. Then add dill, salt and pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes.
