Dried compote is an ideal drink for Christmas tables to help digestion. It is also an obligatory part of Christmas tables.
Figs are the treasury of strengthening calcium bones. They have it almost as much as a glass of milk. They are also the best source of fibre of all dried fruits. They are also rich in potassium pressure reducing and magnesium stress relieving.
Ingredients:
- 1½ l of water
- several pieces of dried apples
- several pieces of dried pears
- 3-5 carnations
- 5 dried plums
- 5 dried dates
- 6 dried figs
- several dried cranberries
- 3 tablespoons of sugar or vanilla sugar
- a piece of lemon or orange peel
Preparation:
Pour boiled and cooled water overnight over the dried fruit. In the morning boil in the same water. While cooking, add 3-4 tablespoons of honey, sugar, cloves and grated lemon or orange peel. At the end of cooking add a pinch of cinnamon to the compote. Cook for about 20 minutes and you’re done!
