Shashlikes are a great idea for a barbecue. They give us many opportunities to combine flavors and certainly not get bored. In addition, there is not much work with them and they can become a delicious proposal for everyone.

You can serve them with your favourite sauce. Garlic yoghurt based on natural yoghurt is also a great match.

Pineapple contains vitamins, minerals, fruit acids and bromelain – a group of enzymes with many healing properties. It is used e.g. in the treatment of respiratory infections, to improve digestion or to help heal wounds and fractures.

Ingredients:

  • 2 chicken fillets
  • fresh pineapple
  • 2-3 red onions

Ingredients for marinade:

  • 1 teaspoon of sweet pepper
  • dash of chilli
  • half a teaspoon of thyme
  • half a teaspoon of salt
  • half a teaspoon of pepper
  • 4 tablespoons of rapeseed oil

Preparation:

Clean the chicken fillets and cut them into smaller pieces. In a bowl, mix the ingredients of the marinade with the chicken and leave in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. During this time, peel the pineapple, get rid of the hardened centre and cut into smaller pieces (preferably dice). Cut the onion into quarters.

Then beat the sticks alternately with chicken, pineapple and onion. Repeat until the scalers are exhausted. Grill the skewers fry a few minutes on the grill on each side and you’re done!
