This is another proposal for a quick and simple snack, which is a healthier alternative to potato fries. A banal snack made from sweet carrots served with a garlic dip will surely taste good to all lovers of healthy delicacies!

Carrots are a rich source of carotenoids (compounds which are the dyes responsible for the orange colour of carrots and antioxidants). Beta-carotene ensures proper functioning of eyesight, strengthens immunity, as well as supports the treatment of acne and delays the appearance of wrinkles.

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg carrots
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • thyme, oregano, herbs of Provence, curry or chilli (to your liking)
  • a pinch of salt to taste

Ingredients for dip:

  • 5 tablespoons of natural yoghurt
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • ground coloured pepper
  • dried basil

Preparation:

Peel the carrots and cut them into poles. In a large bowl add olive oil and selected spices and a little bit of salt to the carrots. Then mix everything thoroughly and place on a baking tray with baking paper.

Bake in 180 degrees for about 30 minutes (depending on the thickness of the posts). However, make sure that the carrots do not burn. While the fries are baking, mix all the ingredients of the dip. You can put it into mini jars just like I do or just into a saucepan. Serve baked carrot fries with a hot dip.
