An idea for a fresh, crispy and very tasty salad with brie cheese, pears and nuts. It’s quick to make and there’s nothing complicated about it. The salad can be served as an accompaniment to lunch or crunched alone, e.g. with croutons. Its ingredients are perfectly combined with sweet, honey dressing.
Pears, as one of the few fruits, contain iodine (a mineral positively influencing the functioning of the thyroid gland). They are a treasury of boron (a mineral improving brain function). In addition, pears can prevent stroke and hypertension.
Ingredients:
- a few handfuls of rucola
- brie
- half the green cucumber
- seedless green grapes
- 1 hard pear
- handful of walnuts
- finely chopped small onions
Ingredients for honey dressing:
- 1/4 glasses of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons of liquid honey
- half a teaspoon of salt
- half a teaspoon of black ground pepper
Preparation:
Rucola rinse thoroughly and gently dry by putting it for a while on a paper towel. Roast walnuts in a dry frying pan. Wash the pear and cucumber and cut into medium sized cubes. Then mix all the ingredients in a large bowl: rucola, cucumber, pear, nuts, onion, washed and chopped grapes and pieces of brie cheese.
Make a dressing combining olive oil, lemon juice, honey, salt and pepper and add to the rest of the ingredients. Mix thoroughly.
