A delicious salad is obligatory for the barbecue. In the field conditions (in the garden, on departure or camping), however, it is necessary to focus on simplicity and preparation time. A salad of Chinese cabbage with fruit will be an ideal solution.
Walnuts have a beneficial effect on the cardiovascular system (they lower the level of bad cholesterol, have an anti-inflammatory effect, reduce blood viscosity and the tendency to form clots). Additionally, coenzyme Q10 helps to inactivate LDL cholesterol, and L-arginine contributes to the enlargement of blood vessels (lowers blood pressure and reduces the risk of heart attack).
- canned fruit mix
- Chinese cabbage
- pumpkin seeds
- red onion
- 2 tablespoons of natural yoghurt
- 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise
- salt and pepper to taste
Cut cabbage and onion into smaller pieces. Drain the fruits. Mix cabbage, fruit, nuts, pumpkin seeds and onion together in a large bowl. Then do the dressing by mixing yoghurt, mayonnaise, a pinch of salt and a little pepper. Add the finished dressing to the rest of the ingredients.
