Puff pastry is a great basis for many dishes. They can be wrapped in rolls, formed into croissants or cakes, and even prepare the whole main course based on it.
If you don’t have the patience to make your own cake, you can easily get it at any supermarket. Preparing a dish is not labour-intensive and does not take much time and will surely taste good to everyone.
It is worth remembering that the French cake is a calorific snack. In addition, it contains a significant amount of carbohydrates, cholesterol and fat. You will find fiber in it, but these are trace amounts.
Ingredients:
Sweet stuffing
- 1 large apple
- handful of walnuts
- dried fruits (mix): goji berries, raisins, dried bellows, cranberries
- cinnamon, sugar to taste
Salty stuffing
- 5 slices of Parma ham
- sliced goat’s cheese
- 1 onion
- dried tomatoes
- salt, pepper to taste
Additional ingredients:
- 1 egg
Preparation:
Sweet and salty ingredients cut and mix in separate bowls, season to taste. Grease the ceiling moulds with butter. Divide the puff pastry into 4 equal squares. Place each piece of dough in a tin, gently matching the shape of the tin.
For easy handling, it is best to remove the dough from the refrigerator just before slicing. Then apply the stuffing, cut the dough with a knife on the edges to obtain 4 sheets to be folded. Fold the dough to cover the stuffing and spread with eggs. Bake in the oven until the dough is browned, for about 20 minutes at 170 degrees.
